Adult Intro to Canoeing - Ages 16+

INTRODUCTION TO CANOEING (SOLO OR TANDEM) AGES 16+
Enjoy an exploration of the original North American public transportation! The course objective is to enable you to paddle a solo or tandem canoe with control on protected waters. You will learn about boat designs, materials and equipment. Students will practice getting into the boat from shore and dock, paddling forward and backward, turning, sideways maneuvers and safety. Emphasis will be on students learning to steer and coordinate with a partner for a fun paddling experience. This class will prove that "tippy canoe..." is a rhyme and not a fact.?You will learn on-the-water in the tranquil section of the Farmington River behind our shop using our high quality boats, paddles, and PFDs.

Registration
Registration is required with full payment. Register online or call the shop at 860-693-6977.?Bring a completed LIABILITY WAIVER or arrive early to complete one prior to class.

Cancellations
All cancellations must be done by calling the shop at 860-693-6977. Cancellations with more than 48 hours notice will receive a full refund. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice or students who fail to appear forfeit the class fee.?In the event that Collinsville Canoe & Kayak cancels a class due to lack of enrollment, severe weather, or emergency, students may reschedule or receive a refund.
