Paddling Parties
Looking for an exciting way to celebrate a special occasion with your family and friends? Consider canoeing, kayaking or stand up paddleboarding! These outdoor activities are perfect for kids ages 7+ or adults who love to explore and have fun in the water. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced paddler, these water sports are a great way to enjoy the outdoors and create unforgettable memories.
What's Included
We offer parties for a minimum of 8 people that are 1½ hours long and available from May through October, subject to availability. Our party venue is located on a calm stretch of the Farmington River behind our shop and includes boats or paddleboards, paddles, and personal flotation devices for all guests. To ensure everyone's safety, an on-the-water guide will provide a safety lesson and lead fun games. Additionally, we can provide extra tables for your cake or ice cream in the picnic area.
What's Required
For kid's parties, at least one adult is required to accompany the first eight children on the water. An additional adult is necessary for every five children after that. We encourage parents to participate. Please note that there is no lifeguard on duty, and every participant or their adult guardian must complete a liability waiver.
Rates & Reservations
The fee is $35 per person. Reservations are required with a $100 deposit, and the balance will be due the day of the party.

Cancellations & Policies
If you wish to cancel your reservation, please call 860-693-6977 to inform the shop. Please note that cancellations made at least one week prior to the reserved date will be eligible for a full refund of the deposit. However, if you cancel less than one week before the reserved date, the entire deposit will be forfeited.
In the event of severe weather conditions that make it unsafe to go out on the water, we will try our best to reschedule your event. If that is not possible, we will refund your deposit in full.
