Community Evening Paddle - Saturday, July 19, 2025, 6pm - 8pm

Evening Paddles

Paddle in the evening on the calm section of the Farmington River behind our shop! Rent or bring your own flatwater kayak, canoe, or paddleboard for an unguided, social paddle during special evening hours. Prepaid reservations are required - make your selection below.

The events occur 6pm - 8pm. Renters please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of start time. Self-launchers may begin 30 minutes in advance of the event start time.

Rentals include glow sticks, paddles, and PFDs. Self-launchers also receive glow sticks and use of our facilities. Late returns will result in additional charges. 

Rates (CT sales tax will be applied at check out):

• Solo Kayak - $ 40
• Tandem Kayak - $ 60
• Paddle Board - $ 40
• Canoe for 2 People - $ 60
• Canoe for 3 People - $ 65
• Canoe for 4 People - $ 70
• Self-Launch Own Boat - $ 5

Renters must be 18+, and minors 17 or under must be accompanied by someone 18+. Children ages 7 and up who are experienced swimmers may be in their own boat.

All paddlers are required to wear a PFD and must know how to swim; there is no lifeguard on duty. Liability Waivers must be completed upon arrival or printed in advance.

Cancellations must be done through the shop by calling 860-693-6977. Cancellations received with at least 48 hours notice will receive a full refund. Cancellations received with less than 48 hours notice and no-shows will receive no refund. In the event CCK cancels due to lack of enrollment, severe weather, or emergency, we will make every attempt to notify registrants in a timely fashion to reschedule or provide a full refund.
