You must choose “Curbside Pick Up” under the shipping option during check out. Then choose our address, 41 Bridge St. All Evening Paddles leave and return from our rental ramp located on our property.
Evening Paddles
Paddle at sunset and by moonlight on the calm section of the Farmington River behind our shop! Rent or bring your own flatwater kayak, canoe, or paddleboard for an unguided, social paddle during special evening hours. Prepaid reservations are required - make your selection below.
The events occur 6:30 - 9:00 pm in June and July, and 6:30 - 8:30 pm in August and September. Renters arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of their desired launch time. Self-launchers may begin 30 minutes in advance of the event start time.
Rentals include glowing sticks, paddles, and PFDs. Self-launchers also receive glowing sticks and use of our facilities. Late returns will result in additional charges.

Renters must be 18+, and minors 17 or under must be accompanied by someone 18+. Children ages 7-17 who are experienced swimmers may be in their own boat.
All paddlers are required to wear a PFD and must know how to swim; there is no lifeguard on duty. Liability Waivers must be completed upon arrival or printed in advance.
Cancellations must be done through the shop by calling 860-693-6977. Cancellations received with at least 48 hours notice will receive a full refund. Cancellations received with less than 48 hours notice and no-shows will receive no refund. In the event CCK cancels due to lack of enrollment, severe weather, or emergency, we will make every attempt to notify registrants in a timely fashion to reschedule or provide a full refund.
